French Toast


  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk (125ml)
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices Freya’s Brioche Style Bread
  • 2 Tbsp butter, divided


In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon until well combined.

Melt 1/2 tablespoon butter in a large frying pan on medium heat until bubbling. Dip a piece of the bread in the egg mixture, flipping to coat both sides. Transfer to frying pan and cook for 1-2 minutes each side, until golden brown.

Repeat with remaining slices of bread, adding more butter to the pan as needed. Cooked pieces can be kept warm in the oven.

Serve warm with your favourite toppings. Try maple syrup, fresh fruit and whipped



Recipe is easily doubled or tripled to feed a crowd.
